Jerry Isenhour, business coach, mentor, entrepreneur, and author has been there. He’s run retail and service businesses by the seat of his pants, made mistakes, and watched his businesses fly high and then fall hard with the market crash of 2008. But for Jerry, those hard times and failures didn’t stop him and they weren’t in vain. When the chips were down, close friends convinced him he could make a contribution to others and in the process build himself into a coach and a mentor to others. The day someone shared with him the thought “Jerry, these guys need you” became a Magic Moment and the day Jerry found his own clarity and his true purpose in life. And all this in his late 50s!
He uses his experience as an entrepreneur and the lessons he learned through his failures to coach and mentor other blue collar business owners. Since he’s failed, he knows firsthand how these things can happen and how quickly a business can go from booming to bankrupt. His goal is to prevent others from going through what he went through, which is why he launched CVC Coaching, a consulting, training, and coaching resource for those in the retail and home services sector.
To build his strengths, he sought out the advice and mentorship of others, and even progressed to the position of being a John Maxwell Certified Speaker and Coach. He dug in his heels and studied under the tutelage of Jeffrey Gitomer to attain his certification status under the master of the sales communication process. When not teaching and coaching others, he invests countless days in continuing to study the masters of motivation and coaching and how to share these principles with his own no-nonsense, straightforward approach to teaching, speaking, mentoring and coaching.
Although he gets great enjoyment out of one-on-one coaching, speaking to teams, and providing industry and business training to businesses across the nation, Jerry wanted to be able to help even more entrepreneurs, which is why he decided to pen his story. He does this by constantly providing value to anyone who will listen through his articles in various printed and social presentations. Likely few in his industry have ever written the number of articles, produced the helpful videos, presented the online seminars, and provided the amount of helpful insights he shares on social media.
But one day a client told him, “Jerry you have a story to share! Your story can be the catalyst to many who feel like they can never reach their dreams.” And from this, a determination was made to write Chaos To Reinvention, a book that opens his story to readers, and shares with them how he reinvented himself and how they can do it too. Ever since he started his career in coaching, his tagline has always been TURNING BUSINESS DREAMS INTO BUSINESS REALITIES, and this is his mission with everyone he works with.
